Our patients throughout the Hamilton & Stoney Creek area come to I See Eyecare because they know they will receive the personal attention and professional care that is essential to our foundation. At I See Eyecare, we aim to explain every exam and procedure as well as answer all of our patient’s questions. Additionally, we are able to directly bill insurance providers, as long as your plan authorizes assignment of benefits.

Dr. Maria Sanchez has a medical degree in Guatemala and she has experience as an eye care professional since 1995. She has been a licensed optometrist in Canada since 2014, after completing the international optometric bridging program at the University of Waterloo. Dr. Maria Sanchez is an ethical and compassionate doctor, who strives in conducting a thorough eye exam to ensure your eye health. Dr. Sanchez is also fluent in Spanish and English. The I See Eyecare team is privileged to have Dr. Sanchez at this optometry clinic.
Dr. Oliva is an eye care professional with a medical degree in Guatemala and eyecare experience since 1992. He has a strong working knowledge in optometry and therapeutics. Dr. Oliva is an eye care professional with a medical degree and clinical experience for 25 years in Guatemala. Experienced in numerous medical procedures and patient care, Dr. Oliva is skilled with ocular testing equipment and techniques in order to cater to different patients. Dr. Oliva is also fluent in Spanish and English. We are honoured to have Dr. Oliva on our team as he has also been ranked one of the best optometrists in the Niagara Falls region. Absolutely fantastic service! My entire family goes to I See Eyecare - we love the service and professionalism. They make you feel like family. I recently was in to order glasses for my children and a rude individual walked in, interrupted my service requesting glasses (which were not purchased there) to be fixed for his wife and came back before the time that was suggested to him and rudely took his glasses elsewhere after it was kindly noted to him that they were still with a customer. Liz is the absolute best - the kids love her and she has an unbelievable memory and genuinely loves to help her clients!

I went in to get my glasses fixed - the lady asked me to leave the glasses with her, and come back after 20 mins - when I did, she had not touched the glasses and continued chatting with her friend in the empty store. She asked me to take it elsewhere after wasting my time on purpose. Just say NO and stop wasting peoples time.
S A2023-05-17I have been one of doctor Oliva’s patient for three years and if I could I would give him 10 stars. He’s an excellent professional and human being who works passionately. In every appointment he takes all the time to carefully check your eyes, explain everything to you and prescribe you the right lenses. He uses latest tech equipment, in addition, the customer service of all his work team is wonderful. The place is nice and clean with a large selection of brands and designs that fit all tastes and budgets. They speak both English and Spanish. I definitely recommend this place and I am sure that just like happened to me once you visit this clinic you won’t want to go anywhere else.

The reason why is because Dr Oliva and the staff are great professionals and provide us with a great experience. They have quite modern equipment and Dr Oliva has taken all his time to help us find the prescription that best works for us. Liz and Mariana are so nice, and kindly have helped us find the right frame or sunglasses. They have a large selection of brands and styles. An asset is that Dr Oliva and Mariana are fully fluent in both English and Spanish.
